- The villages of Wachenheim (pronounced "VAHK-en-hime") and Forst lie at the center of the esteemed Mittelhaardt area of the Pfalz, which historically has been the source of the region's finest wines. Here, the well-drained, weathered sandstone soils produce pure, fruit-driven wines with a distinctive stony character. As with "villages" bottlings from Burgundy, these wines are labeled only with the village name.
Villa Wolf practice sustainable viticulture, nurturing biodiversity in their vineyards and promoting healthy and diverse microbiology in their soils. This is followed by traditional vinification with natural yeasts and minimal processing at the winery.
Musky fruit aromas cut with some minerals and lime. In the mouth, theres a touch of fruit sweetness countering the mineral and citrus elements. It is rich and textured with very good length. Complex enough to enjoy right now, but should age well over the mid-term.

- Food match:
A slightly spicy raw fish dish would match this beautifully. Tuna tartare, salmon carpaccio, or ceviche anyone?
