- Blanc de Blancs is a French term used to designate champagnes made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes. Ruinart has produced champagne since 1729 with the Blanc de Blancs first released with the 1959 vintage.
A seam of beautifully fresh white fruits on the nose following through onto the palate, with gentle mouthfilling creaminess. Gently balanced acidity matched by a fine prickling mousse.
- 'This is light, fresh and soft on the palate with pear and almond notes. A creamy style that is drinking well now. Wonderful for an aperitif and with canapes such as blinis with smoked trout, creme fraiche and caviar or crab meat and cumin tartelette. Drink 2016-2020' - Gerard Basset, Decanter, December 2016
