The Rathfinny Wine Estate was established in 2010 near Alfriston in the South Downs of Sussex, one of England's exceptional natural landscapes, with the express intention of producing some of the world's best sparkling wine. Renowned winemaker Jonathan Médard from Épernay, and Cameron Roucher from New Zealand manage the Estate.

The Estate occupies a perfect south-facing slope, just three miles from the sea, and its climate, chalk soils and aspect make it probably the most perfect place to produce wine in a region that is already producing some of the best, award winning English sparkling wines.

The Rathfinny state-of-the-art winery is capable of producing over one million bottles of Sussex sparkling wine annually. Owners Sarah and Mark Driver aim to achieve quality levels that will see their Sussex sparkling wine winning international awards and being enjoyed all over the world.

The Rathfinny Blanc de Blancs 2014 is made from 100% Chardonnay. It delivers delicious creamy apricot and acacia notes on the nose, nuances of yuzu and lemon meringue on the palate, and a rich, lingering apple-strudel finish.

Sensational with delicate seafood flavours such as crab meat and tuna tartare, but can also match up to the more pronounced notes of smoked eel and the richer texture of a home-made fish pie.
