- Finca Quara are produced by Familia Felix Lavaque who boast a 140 year history and five generations of winemakers. Based in the Cafayate Valley in Salta, Argentina's highest growing area, their vineyards are located close by in the neighbouring Calchaquí Valley which constitutes one of the highest terroirs in the world, with vineyards perched at altitudes of between 5,200 feet and 6,500 feet in Salta, Argentina, These extreme heights offer perfect growing conditions for expressive fruit development and have all the advantages of very cool climate growing conditions. Here Quara grow Torrontés, Malbec, Tannat, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and the Bonarda grape varieties.
Classic notes of nectarine, rose petal and honey blossom are all present on the nose. The palate has a smooth texture and honeyed notes with flavours of orange fruit, warm peach and summer flowers. A finely balanced and precise acidity keeps the wine fresh and lively.
