Situated in the higher western areas of Catalanya, the DO Montsant makes some of the best Grenache in Spain. Capcanes is a high quality co-op with forward thinking winemakers who champion single site vinification to retain the best expression of terroir. The soil is a mixture of alluvial, granite and slate making the individual parcels all the more expressive. Fermentation is simply in stainless steel at 24-28C degrees with no oak used during maturation.

Spiced fruits on the nose carry through to the palate with flavours of liquorice, Christmas cake and dark fruits. Medium bodied with soft, easy going tannins make this a refreshing tipple.
