Geyer Seaside Cabernet Franc, Barossa Valley 2020

Named 'Seaside' due to almost fresh saline & liquorice notes.

Vinified in an unusual, interesting way with 50% of the fruit fermenting on skins for 10 days, making a red wine, while the other 50% was made to be a rose.
Both potions are then aged in large, old oak barrels for a period of time before they are then finally blended.
This is a very pure yet curious expression of Cabernet Franc, with bright notes of raspberry and blueberry framed with graphite and a liquorice.
Dave Geyer, the winemaker, is keen to avoid any chemical use in the vineyards, so practices sustainable and regenerative viticulture.
This wine is bottled with no added sulphur, fining or filtration.
