- Other Info:
- Pinot Blanc's name varies by region. In Austria and Germany it may be bottled as Weissburgunder. This ancient variety thrives in fertile or chalky soils and ripens fairly late. Weissburgunder wines have a relatively neutral bouquet with good firm acidity. Most plantings are in Germany, mainly in the Baden and the Pfalz areas, though the grape is starting to emerge in different countries, including Italy.
This wine has rich pear and guava flavours with lively acidity and crisp clean fruit. There is a lovely citrus aromatic and the wine has a refreshing and delicate finish.
