- The Ciconia winery takes its name from the Ciconia - a white stork which inhabits the forests and woods of the Alentejo.
Herdade de São Miguel want to express the diversity that the Alentejo has to offer, concentrating on local grape varieties.
A blend of varieties, including Antão Vaz, Viognier and Verdelho.
Antão Vaz is an indigenous white grape, growing in popularity with winemakers in the Alentejo. It produces full bodied, well structured wines, with characteristic aromas of ripe tropical fruit and tangerine peel.
