- Bouza de Rei specialise in the production of Albarino, a wonderfully aromatic and characterful grape variety native to the Rias Baixas region of North West Spain. In fact, they specialise to the point where this is the only variety they handle. The winery itself was founded in 1984, and their first vintage gave them 40,000 litres of wine. Today the company sources grapes from several independent and trusted growers and production is now in the region of 900,000 litres. The Albarino variety gives wonderful racy and fresh acidity along with tropical fruit characters, distinct minerality and lemon citrus notes. A perfect complement to seafood.
Pale straw yellow in colour, with aromas of ripe citrus fruit, crushed flowers and underlying minerality, leading to a fresh, crisp palate of lemon zest, fresh lime, stone fruits and notes of flint soil. Serve with seafood and shellfish.

- Food match:
Is it obvious? Perhaps on two counts. 1./ A wine from a coastal region with seafood.
2./ Spanish wine with Spanish food!
