Created from rice and water, Sake has been fundamental to Japanese culture for 2500 years. Today it is a phenomenally varied category - sweet or dry, clear or cloudy, still or sparkling, aged or youthful. Join us for a masterclass in this fascinating beverage, led by Sake specialist Scott Paine.
We'll taste a selection of six Sakes, all produced by the excellent Akashi-Tai, which will showcase the vast variety available on the market. This will include various levels of rice polishing, as well as a Sparkling Sake, and a sweet plum flavoured Umeshu Sake.
