Waterkloof is an independent, family-owned biodynamic farm overlooking False Bay on The Western Cape of South Africa. Acquired in 2004 after a ten-year search by winemaking Anglo-Frenchman Paul Boutinot, the estate has quickly gone from strength-to-strength earning numerous awards and listings in some of the world's most acclaimed restaurants including Azurmendi, The Test Kitchen, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay and The Ledbury.
Paul's son Louis (who is involved with all areas of the business from cellar to table) will be showcasing some of their wines -many of which are crafted in tiny quantities- and sharing the fascinating Boutinot family story, as well as the amazing happenings at Waterkloof, where horses are preferred to tractors, the farming is 100% self-sufficient and leopards roam at night.
