Peter Franus first stepped into the world of wine in 1978 when he enrolled in Fresno State's viticulture and enology program. In 1980 he started working as a viticulturalist with Veederhills Vineyard and by 1981 was assistant winemaker for Mount Veeder. He made his own wine for the first time in 1987 and has never looked back. Today Peter Franus is considered to be something of a hidden gem in Californian wine.
Peter Franus owns vineyards in some of the best sites in Carneros and Napa.
Peter Franus is a superstar winemaker on a small scale. His history in the region more than gives his wines a true sense of place and the quality is exceptional.
