Cinsault

Normally blended with Syrah, Mourvedre and Grenache in the reds of the Southern-Rhone and also used in the production of fresh, fruity roses with its partner Grenache. It is very prolific in North-African countries like: Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia and also in Lebanon due to its drought resistant characteristics. It has been crossed with Pinot Noir to produce Pinotage; South Africa's signature grape.
