Rooiberg Pinotage, Robertson
Ref. 0446
Aged in oak with rich meaty flavours, it's one of the most interesting, well-rounded and complete examples of Pinotage that’s around. Delicious red berries, strong minerality and an overall balanced style. Rooiberg Pinotage has an attractive deep colour and the typical full-flavoured style of rich Pinotage. It has lots of complex cultivar character, mingling well with good woodiness. If consumed young the fruity Pinotage bouquet can be fully appreciated, but it will develop a wide full flavour with further ageing.

- Other info: Pinotage, a cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault, is considered to be one of the classic grapes from South Africa. It can produce a very distinctive wine with a hint of rubber on the nose that leads to a rather fruity palate with notes of banana, plum and cherry. While the grape is high in tannins, the wine is produced in a broad range of styles.
