Domaine Boyer Bulgarian 12 Bottle Mixed Case Offer For Winter
Ref. 11005
Remember the heady days of Bulgarian wine? Blackcurranty Cabernet Sauvignon and buttery Chardonnays at very affordable prices just at a time when the New World was starting to be taken seriously. The great days of Bulgarian wine in this country were from the middle 80s to the early 90s – and then suddenly they disappeared after the collapse of Communism. But what about now?
Well, times have changed and Bulgarian wines are beginning to make a comeback. The move towards privatization in Bulgaria has been slow and painful, but since its foundation in 1991 Domaine Boyar has emerged as the country’s biggest wine producer. Their Australian designed winery which uses the best available technology produces some extremely drinkable wines at very reasonable prices and, slowly but surely, we are seeing Bulgarian wine creeping back onto the shelves again.
These are modern made fruit driven wines that deliver good value for money and decent fruit – all the attributes that we have become used to with firstly Australian wines and now Chilean wine styles. Try this mixed case of 6 bottles each of Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon at a seriously discounted price – contact Theo Sloot on 01865 301144 or HYPERLINK "mailto:theo@oxfordwine.co.uk" theo@oxfordwine.co.uk to order your case.
