- Other info: Domaine Boyar was the first private wine company to be founded after the fall of the communist regime in Bulgaria. The domaine managed to navigate successfully through the period of economic transition and established itself as one of the biggest and most trusted producers and exporters of Bulgarian wine to Europe, North America, Africa and Asia. 1998 saw the approval of an ambitious project to invest 15 million Euros in building of a state-of-the-art winery in Sliven. The winery was named “Sinite Skali” (Blueridge) after the bluish slopes of the Balkan Mountains towering above it. Today it is the most advanced and technologically modern winery in central and eastern Europe.
