Crémant de Bourgogne, Jacques Charlet
Ref. 0240
The palate is filled with loads of lemon-zest and fresh appley fruit. There is real zing and zest about this wine, but on the mid-palate a fine, leesy toasty quality emerges and fills out. It has beautiful balance and really good length, with a tongue-tingling finish though it stays broad, fruity and delicious.

- Other info: Like most major wine regions in the world, Burgundy makes a sparkling wine, Crémant de Bourgogne. It is a great shame that the sparkling wines of Burgundy are not better known, because the quality is exceptional. If you've ever been disappointed by more exensive sparklers, try some Crémant de Bourgogne - it's a revelation. It's made using the Méthode Traditionelle - the same way wines are made in Champagne - but because these wines don't originate from the Champagne region, you don't pay the premium associated with the name. Good Crémant de Bourgogne wines are an excellent alternative to Champagne, but cost considerably less. We are pleased to feature Jacques Charlet's excellent example.
