37.5cl Dr. Loosen Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese
Ref. 0753
This precipitously steep, rocky vineyard consistently yields some of the most elegant and sophisticated white wines in the world. The mineral-rich blue Devonian slate soil gives Wehlener Sonnenuhr (pronounced vay-len-er zon-en-ooer) wines a crisp acidity that perfectly balances the pure peach and lemon fruit. The 2005 Auslese from Wehlener Sonnenuhr is exceptionally pure, with a very fine mineral nose, a silky texture and an elegant mineral finish that is long and juicy.

- Other info: Ernie Loosen produces only Riesling from traditional, slate-soil vineyards in the Mosel Valley. A full range of Prädikat wines is made from six grand cru single-vineyard sites. The vineyards of Dr. Loosen owe their excellent quality to three major factors: the exceptional regional climate of the Middle Mosel area, the mineral-rich slate and volcanic soils, and the incredible age of the estate’s ungrafted Riesling vines. These are world class wines of exceptional quality.
