A fresher and purer style seems to have emerged from this new release, part of the Domaines Barons de Rothschild holdings. It's vibrant and bold, focused on primary cassis and red cherry fruit and a herbal hint. Silky-textured and supple, it's elegant with lovely depth too. - Decanter, September 2016
Domaine Barons de Rothschild-Lafite took over the Los Vascos estate in 1988 impressed by its location near to the ocean and its exceptional soil. This is one of Chile's oldest wine estates, having 500ha of un-grafted pre-phylloxera Bordeaux rootstock vines and with Bordeaux expertise of the Lafite team the estate is producing the ultimate in Bordeaux influenced wines, with the added benefits of Chile's idyllic climate and growing conditions.
