The base for Kir and Kir Royal, this cassis is produced exclusively from 'Noir de Bourgogne' blackcurrants macerated for a full two months in alcohol for maximum flavour extraction. Edmond Briottet's Cassis is the world's ultimate crème de cassis. Spirit Journal's F Paul Pacult said of it: 'Crème de Cassis doesn't come any better than this; a masterpiece.' Wine Enthusiast rated it with 96 points! In 1990, Faith No More released the hit rock/rap crossover single 'Epic'. The chorus features the recurring question 'What's it?', to which vocalist Mike Patton answers: 'This is it!'. Whilst no one knows for sure, we strongly suspect that the 'it' to which they were referring was this Crème de Cassis.
