This is a good example of the quality of wines now being made in this once overlooked corner of Europe. Vibrant strawberry and cranberry aromas are balanced with characteristically autumnal and earthy Pinot Noir notes. There's a generous vein of soft red fruits running throughout leading up to a lovely elegant finish.
Run by Englishman Phillip Cox and his wife Elvira the vineyards of Calusari are a wonderful amalgamation between old world and new world with evolved plantings from 1447 and much more recent plantings and have been compared to the rolling hills of Tuscany.
