VOG was the brainchild of real ale lovers Dave Walbeoff and Ian Teagle with them turning their dream in to a reality in 2005, a dream they continued to live for a further 10 years, brewing excellent beer until they decided to pass the torch onto a new budding team lead by a Yorkshireman, local pub landlord and beer enthusiast Phil Newbould under the new mantra #OldVOGNewTricks. The aim of this was to bring the brewery into the current contemporary beer scene without compromising on the ethos laid down by Dave and Ian. This largely entailed a complete re-brand launched in 2015 and new beers being added to the core range

Strangely enough the Brewery is located in the Vale Of Glamorgan, In the town of Barry made famous by the British Sitcom Gavin and Stacy (the beer unfortunately doesn't get a shout out in the show).

with a core range of eight beers and various seasonals, fast becoming the most popular is the Maori South Island Pale Ale, a great refreshing modern ale for the summer.
