Krug is one of the most prestigious of the classic Champagne houses. It is however relatively young and was established in 1843 by Johann-Joseph Krug, a German immigrant from Mainz on the Rhine. Today Krug is recognised as being one of the very best and most unique Champagnes.
Krug is based in Reims but holds some of the very best vineyards throughout the Champagne region.
The use of oak aging makes Krug almost unique among NV Champagnes and adds toast, spice and weight to the wine giving the palate a fantastic, deep richness.
Krug Grand Cuvée is considered one of the very best Champagnes money can buy.
